There is one thing we like doing even more than writing and recording songs, and that’s playing those songs live. Our policy is, If we can’t do it live, we won’t do it in the recording studio. Except for some extra background vocals and maybe an adjunct guitar track for “fattening,” this is almost always true. So it is important to us that what we record, we can play live—to be true to the song and true to the listener.
